Redwood Schools

  • Redwood Day School

    Full Day School (K-8)

Redwood provides specialized, evidence-based instruction based on the individual needs of each student. We equip each student with the foundation, tools, confidence, and advocacy skills they need to close academic gaps and build the success attributes necessary to successfully transition back into a mainstream educational environment.

  • Redwood @ Alcuin Montessori

    Half-day school program (K-8)

Redwood @ Alcuin provides students (K-8) with language-based learning differences the option to receive a specially tailored curriculum through Redwood Schools for a half-day program and then experience the other half of the day with Alcuin’s long-standing nationally recognized Montessori education and enrichment.

  • Redwood @ Lawndale

    Virtual Program

In Spring 2020, Redwood Literacy partnered with Lawndale Christian Legal Center (LCLC) to conduct a pilot program in the Chicago North Lawndale community to provide structured literacy intervention using the Wilson Reading System® for court involved youth and who have literacy skills below the 30th percentile.

Why Redwood Schools?

Enrollment at Redwood Day School and Redwood @ Alcuin is open to students who seek evidence based, explicit, systematic, and multi-sensory intervention to meet their learning needs. Redwood Schools serves students in or entering grades K-8 with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. Redwood Schools provides a high quality, comprehensive school experience designed for the dyslexic mind. Our program is not designed to meet the needs of students with primary emotional or behavioral challenges.

Because of the generosity of our community and beyond, Redwood is celebrating its sixth year in Chicago.

Six years of restoring confidence.

Six years of cultivating hope.

Six years of regaining a love of learning.

Six years of advocating for a student’s right to read & learn.

Six years of making a difference.
